Oster TSSTTVF815 6-Slice Toaster Oven

Very Nice
The Oster TSSTTVF815 6-slice convection toaster oven is a nice little toaster oven with a classy but streamlined look. It heats up very quickly and the cookies I tested were baked evenly. The door had an annoying squeak that eventually needed some WD40 but that's not a huge problem on a new appliance. The inclusion of convection allows this little gem to stand up to some of its more expensive competitors. The fan itself is quiet enough and cuts the cooking time down significantly. In my test the Oster 6 Slice went from cold to 450 degrees in just over 5 minutes. I really like this little oven.

If you have the room this is a terrific additional small oven.
or ideal for a dorm room or studio apartment.

when it comes to toaster ovens I need simple. I want simple. I must have simple.

Toast should be one touch button.

The Top dial is temperature; heats up to 450 degrees F. with settings in 50-degree increments starting at 200 degrees.

Middle dial is the function dial turn it to Bake, Turbo, Broil, or Toast.

Turbo uses convection, heated air circulates evenly throughout the oven's interior, the affect is to make meat jucier, crisps crispier, and pastries flakier, breads lighter.

The bottom dial is the timer with setting up to 30 minutes, TOAST or non-stop.

This is a good size oven for the price.

19.3 wide x 12 tall x 14.8 inches deep (compared to my previous non-convection toaster 15.8 x 8.8 x 8.2)

Excellent value for a good oven
We've been enjoying our Oster 6-Slice oven for several weeks now. All of the functions, from baking to toasting, work as advertised. The toasting function in particular is good, giving a more even brownness than our previous toaster oven. The convection bake is also a great feature, speeding up cooking time and preventing the need for heating up the whole built-in oven.

The one downside I have found is size. The unit itself is on the big side for a toaster oven, and while the inside is indeed larger than our last one (a Black and Decker), it is not quite large enough to hold six whole slices of bread, despite the name. Those slices would have to be pretty small. Or your packing skills better than mine. Four stars for quality and function.
