Cuisinart RC-8CP Cooking Pot for 8-Cup Rice Cooker

Non stick layer comes off quickly
I'm aware that other reviewer had better experiences. But I'm extremely disappointed (and concerned) that my original pot lasted almost a year and the replacement only over 6 months. First I saw tiny scratches. Then gradually there were specks of white spots where the non stick materials came off. I grew up with rice cookers. We always used a wooden spoon and I don't cook anything else in it- no wild rice, vegetables, other grains. Just white and brown rice. One possibility is that I rinse my rice before cooking since I purchase imported rice from Thailand, and the fact that rice accumulates more arsenic than other grains and washing can reduce it. I place my uncooked rice in the pot, add water, and slightly mix it by hand and drain. If that was the cause, I don't feel it's high quality coating. If that wasn't the cause, it's mysterious. After purchasing 2 pots, I will be looking into a different cooker.

Goog Replacement
The old pot lasted 4 years. I have to replace it. The cooker is very good.

I love my new bowl
Now that kids are out of the house, they can't ruin this one. But i got them wooden spoons for when they visit.
