What they dont tell you
I love cooking a whole chicken in the New Wave Oven. Very tasty, juicy and crispy on the outside. You've watched the TV infomercial...it looks so easy.
Here's what they fail to tell you. If you want foods to cook completely, you have to flip them over half way thru the cooking cycle. THAT INCLUDES PIZZA. Whaaa? Pizza will cook very fast in the New Wave but if you dont flip it, your dough can be undercooked or not cooked at all. The turkey in the ad is way too large for the NW oven. However what it does best is cook fast without heating up your house. Cleaning is a bit messy but not a big problem. Someone else complained the "glass dome" was too heavy....what glass dome? The New Wave Oven is made of modern/safe plastics. I like this product and recommend it to anyone who wants great meals with less fat.

I bought this item the end of January and asked how to return it.
It is difficult to break down a recipe not in their book to time and heat. Some foods were ok, others not so ok.
This is the reply I got to return the item. "Thank you for writing. The item must be brand new, never used, packed back in the original retail packaging exactly as you received it. Items not in this condition can not be accepted as a return and will be refused. If your item meets these conditions, your RMA # 0222-167615341 and must be clearly written on the return address label underneath our Company name as shown below. We always recommend using a shipping method that provides you tracking and insurance as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged enroute back to us. Please print out a copy of this email and include it with your return to avoid any delays. Mail to:"
Be careful if you go to the company's website - you have to put in your credit card information before you can...
A good quality unit
I had my Nuwave oven for 2 years now and here are the pros and cons of the unit:
Pros:
- Can be used every day.
- Very reliable.
- Cooks food extremely well.
- Convenient to be used multiple times a day.
- Does not use halogen bulbs which can burn out in 3 months @ $15 a pop.
- Cooks food as advertised.
- Very quiet when on.
- As indicated, does not heat up the kitchen.
Cons:
- The plastic dome begins to discolor and crack after 2 years of daily use.
- I was charged almost $30 just to replace the dome.
